Good for your finances and for the environment!

  1. Lighting up requires fast heating, which is achieved by using dry brushwood, kindling wood and possibly a bit of newspaper and supplying plenty of air, while the gases of the heated firewood burn.
  2. Add firewood gradually so that the gases have time to burn and supply plenty of air every time new firewood is added.
  3. Do not adjust the air controls to reduce the air supply until the firewood has flared, i.e. there are no more dark yellow flames.
  4. When only glowing charcoal remains, reduce the air supply so much that the heating requirement is just met. The charcoal burns more slowly with less air supply, which also results in less heat loss through the chimney.

Heating Fair in Italy
On 16-19 March, we took part in the exclusive heating fair Progetto Fueco in Verona in collaboration with our Italian importer Scandinavia Design.
On this occasion, we had invited the Danish Consul General Bent Kristen from Milan, who opened our stand and made a fine speech about Scandinavia Design’s great efforts to increase the demand for Danish wood-burning stoves among Italian consumers.

The fair was a great success and the clearly Italian-inspired stand appealed to all visitors, irrespective of nationality! There was great interest in Morsø products, and the Italian visitors were particularly enthusiastic about the new model 8142 with its clean design and 100 per cent cast iron execution.

The wood-burning stoves have come in from the cold with a vengeance.

The rise in oil prices is one of the reasons for the growing interest in heating with wood-burning stoves. At Morsø, we are observing increasing demand from all over the world, with orders for new stoves from Australia to the US and Spain.

But then Morsø is active on several fronts around the world.

Hearth, Patio & Barbecue EXPO 2006 in Salt Lake City is the world’s largest wood-burning stove fair. The fair took place in March 2006, and Morsø was of course represented with a large stand. At this event, one of Morsø’s products was nominated for the prestigious Vesta Award, with which the industry honours products of especially distinguished design and technology.

Last year, Morsø launched a new exclusive fireplace set where the three tools are placed in a little cupboard and hidden behind a very simple and stylish door.

The new product is called Morsø Perfection Fireplace Set and is designed to hang on the wall next to the wood-burning stove or fireplace. With its simple design and discreet appearance, it will fit perfectly into any home.

The entire family of mini stoves from Morsø. From the left, they are 1400, 2 BUO and 3400.

When the stove is in use, it should of course be placed on an original Morsø glass floor slab of 4 mm tempered clear glass with a special bevelled edge, which gives the entire slab a more elegant and exclusive appearance.
