Can one use fireplace blacking on Morsø fireplaces?
No, do not use fireplace blacking on Morsø fireplaces. Stove blacking cannot stick to, e.g., enamelled Morsø fireplaces; the surface becomes blotched and may flake when the fireplace is heated. The surface of painted fireplaces will also become discoloured and blotched if you use fireplace blacking. You can use fireplace blacking on old fireplaces that, e.g., have been ground or sandblasted. Painted fireplaces must be painted with Morsø Senotherm paint, and enamelled fireplaces only have to be washed with hot, distilled water and brown soap.
